The Kuroshio Current (KC) is a strong western boundary current in the North Pacific, entering the Okinawa Trough via the Yonaguni Depression off the eastern coast of Taiwan, flowing along the continental slope of the East China Sea (ECS), and eventually turning eastward through the Tokara Strait.
