2024 Pop os refind boots into terminal

im using rEFInd and when im trying to boot pop os i am getting a "no root device specified" message. i only have "Boot EFI\Pop_OS-xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx\vmlinuz.efi from 497 MiB FAT volume" option for pop os. i tried booting the installation again and i had the "refresh installation" option, i tried that and it failed and then it did ...When I've in the past had dual boot setups they've just first gone into a menu that lists the OS choices, and if that times out it boots the first choice. I wiped the Linux Mint partition and installed Pop Os on it.When installing Pop OS I created a boot partition /boot and I didn't get /boot/efi option. After installation my computer started to boot directly into Pop Os without giving boot prompt to select OS. from my experience, rEFInd will show an entry for systemd-boot, and one for directly booting pop_os bypassing systemd-boot, and will also show the recovery options for pop. all I did to install rEFInd was sudo apt install refind I did not use any sort of guide.
