First thing to do is verify the engine stop relay is working. Just hold the relay in your fingers and feel for a click when you toggle the kill switch. The 530 is the same pitch as the 520 or 525, but is wider and spreads the force across a wider sprocket area. Now for racing, sure, go with a 520 or 525 as the chain is lighter in weight. Honda made a few small adjustments in '02. Colors have been the only thing changed from '02-'06 (SP2). I've yet to hear of any real "problems" other than tank leaks on a few SP1 bikes which Honda will warranty... All full synthetic. Took delivery in April 2000, had some great times on her (45 RC51s lined up outside the Hotel at VIR before the RC51 trackday in 2000/2001 anyone)? and promptly threw her off the side of a mountain in 2001.
