I have a Stoeger 2000, which is pretty much an earlier version of your new gun. Mine has been perfect-not one malfunction ever. I did the same as you, reading the manual, break in, and I clean mine often, maybe too often. You have a good gun. I believe them to be under valued and under appreciated by the gun writers.
